DewBuster™ Controller Frequently Asked Questions

Repair and Warranty

What is the warranty period?
Two years minimum. After the warranty expires, if I feel the failure was due to premature failure of a component I will repair it at no charge under good will. Due to the extremely high reliability of the DewBuster™ Controllers, this means in most cases I will repair your controller at no charge even if it is several years out of warranty. Please note that with all warranty repairs you will be responsible for return shipping (usually $10 within USA).

Can the DewBuster™ Controller be repaired if it breaks?
Yes, every DewBuster™ Controller built to date is still repairable. Parts obsolescence is not a problem due to the use of industrial components with very long manufacturing life-spans. When you invest in a DewBuster™ Controller you can count on it to be in service for many, many years to come.

How much does it cost to repair a DewBuster™ Controller after the warranty expires?
As outlined above, your controller may still be repaired under good will well after the original warranty expires. If not, the most you will be charged is a $30 flat rate fee plus return shipping.

I purchased my DewBuster™ Controller used, does the warranty transfer?
No, but it can be repaired for the very reasonable $30 flat rate fee plus return shipping.

Will my warranty be voided by modifying my DewBuster™ Controller?
Your DewBuster™ Controller has a "no hassle" warranty and unlike competitors I do not look for reasons to void your warranty. Unless your modification causes a failure it will have no effect on your warranty. And even if it does the most you'll pay is for the parts necessary to repair the damage or make the modification work properly. Before making any changes I would suggest contacting me as I can usually provide helpful advice to insure your success. And you won't have to worry because if your modification does not work I can complete it for you or return your controller to an unmodified condition at a very reasonable cost.
