DewBuster™ Controllers may be ordered with the default configuration (shown above) or may be customized to suit your needs by selecting "Custom Output Configuration (see comments)" on the order form. Since every controller is built to order, custom configurations do not delay your order and there is no extra charge. When ordering a custom output configuration you need only specify the jacks which will function differently than the default shown above. It is recommended that L1 and R1 be left as Temp Controlled because they will automatically function as Medium Power when no Temperature Sensor is plugged into the Sensor Input on that side. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need assistance. After placing your order you will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours and you may reply to it with questions and I will be happy to assist you and make any changes needed so that your controller will best meet your needs. A few examples follow:
"MAKE L5 AND R5 MEDIUM POWER" would result in 2 Left Temp Controlled, 2 Right Temp Controlled, 6 Medium Power Jacks, and no Power jacks.
"MAKE L2 MEDIUM POWER" would result in 1 Left Temp Controlled, 2 Right Temp Controlled, 5 Medium Power Jacks, and 2 Power jacks.
"MAKE L2 AND R2 MEDIUM POWER, L4 AND R4 12V POWER" would result in 1 Left Temp Controlled, 1 Right Temp Controlled, 4 Medium Power Jacks, and 4 Power jacks.
"MAKE L2-L5 MEDIUM POWER, R2-R5 12V POWER" would result in 1 Left Temp Controlled, 1 Right Temp Controlled, 4 Medium Power Jacks on left, and 4 Power jacks on right.
Please note that the 12V POWER JACKS are capable of 10 Amps of current so if you are fabricating your own power cables add a smaller fuse in the line to limit current to whatever that device can safely handle. The 12V POWER JACKS are unswitched, so they will remain powered when the controller is turned off or when the Battery warning light is on and the heaters have been shut off. The 12V POWER JACKS are not voltage regulated so the output voltage will be that of the power source feeding the DewBuster™ Controller and may fluctuate as the heaters are pulsed by the DewBuster™ Controller. With the cigarette plug the voltage fluctuation is about 0.2-Volt for every Amp of current flowing to the heaters (refer to the table below for approximate current draw of heaters). With the optional Heavy Duty Power Cord the voltage drop will be reduced by a factor of ten. Most accessories will tolerate some voltage fluctuation but if you have an accessory which requires very stable voltage then it is preferable to power it via a separate cord running all the way back to your power source where the voltage is much more stable.
